 Mini Stars...

Mini Stars is a fun, musical, drama filled active class which encourages and teaches children to sing songs, play percussion instruments, learn actions, dance, explore rhythm and join in with some drama and role-play. Most importantly children have lots of fun, with lots of opportunities for laughter and play.  The aim of Mini Stars is to encourage and enhance a child's interest in music, movement and drama by introducing them to a range of varied activities. Mini Stars also aims to increase a child's confidence, co-operation and concentration in a fun and enjoyable way. Mini Stars classes are led by Katie Pendrigh, a former parent and qualified Music and Drama Teacher.  Katie has been familiar with the nursery and all staff for several years and the children adore her. Katie is starting to expand her Mini Stars venture holding other classes within the local community.

Football...

Our Football coaching sessions are led by junior coaches from Southend United Football Club.  These sessions are either held in the nursery garden or in The Deanes School sports hall (weather permitting).

Ball sports are a great way to encourage not only physical development including cognitive skills, balance and co-ordination, but also self-confidence and social skills and understanding the health benefits from exercise, not forgetting most importantly having fun.

Tennis...

Our Tennis sessions are led by a fully qualified Tennis coach from The Deanes Sports centre. The sessions take place on the Tennis courts inside the sport centre.

The sessions focus on development, having fun, encouraging and increasing fitness and social interaction.  The children have the opportunity to play with different balls and racquets, learning how to serve and hit the ball with the racquet and developing concentration with hand-eye co-ordination and balance.
